Our city has a small town atmosphere, but is within 30 minutes or so of downtown Kansas City, Johnson County, Lawrence, Ft. Leavenworth, interstate highways and Kansas City International Airport. The cost of living is very affordable, and we are in the hills near the Missouri River, near many historic locations.

An international airport, Union Station and Greyhound bus station are within 30 minutes of Lansing. The Kansas City area has various bus and trolley services, some are free.

Medical Facilities


There are small hospitals in Leavenworth, and large hospitals are within a half hour.
