Salisbury is a seaside community located next to the NH border. There are many things to do and sights to see within a 30 mile radius including museums, trails, restaurants, shows and shopping. All are easily accessible by private car or public transportation. Boston is about 30 minutes away and the mountains are 2 hours making it an ideal location to live.

   We have the best of all worlds...the ocean in our back yard...open spaces and so much to do without having to travel far. Great dining opportunities with a wide variety of cuisines. If you want to experience city life...head to Boston, Portsmouth NH or Portland ME...all easily accessible within 20 minutes to a little over an hour.

Cultural Activities
The Salisbury region offers a wide array of cultural activities from Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury, to the Firehouse Center for the Arts located in Newburyport. These cultural centers offer everything form live music, plays, musicals, symphony and so much more. The Newburyport Film Festival in the Fall presents new Documentary projects from a wide variety of local and nation producers. The Newburyport Literary Festival held in the Spring brings together local and national authors for live readings and discussions. No need to go to Boston when you retire in Salisbury.

Public transportation
The MVRTA has increased the routes and stops for buses in the area and this could expand with an increase in demand. Uber and Lyft both operate in the area which provides more opportunity for people who do not drive.
