Oklahoma State University offers a beautiful campus, educational, volunteer and employment opportunities. Golf Digest named Stillwater among the top 10 golfing communitites in American for retirees. There are five area lakes offering boating, fishing, camping, picnicking, skiing and sailing. As the first Certified Retirement Community in Oklahoma, Stillwater offers a variety of services and facilities necessary to assist retirees as they age. It provides personal and community safety, with a crime rate that is 33% below the national average. Public transportation is provided by the Community/OSU transit system that is open to the public and is ADA compliant; taxi service and First Capitol Trolley are also available. Stillwater is conveniently located in the center of three commercial airline facilities: Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma city, Tulsa International Airport and the Wichita Airport.    In addition to educational and volunteer opportunities, Stillwater offers recreational and leisure activities including golfing, water recreation, crafts and instruction at Multi Arts Center, Senior center activities, cultural and performing arts through community and universwity theatre and top-ranked collegiate sporting events through Oklahoma State University in football, basketball, soccer, baseball/softball, wresting and more. Annual festivals, County Fair and the Stillwater Public Library offer unique services and programs.

Okllahoma State University has performing arts and concert events year round. Additional concert and performing arts are provided through Stillwater Community Center. Little league and public school sports/performing arts activities are abundant as well.

Medical Facilities


Stillwater Medical Center is a 129 bed full service, 24-hour regional hospital, with a 24-ho0ur emergency room, same day surgery, cancer center, diagnostic radiology, nuclear lab and pharmacy service. Stillwater offers an outpatient surgery center, and 3 urgent care clinics. There are 70 physicians representing 20 specilities.
