We are home to Barter Theatre, the State Theatre of Virginia, and one of the longest-running professional theatres in the nation.

The historic downtown area is a great place to do some retail therapy; you can enjoy a farm-to-table meal at one of our great locally-owned restaurants or try a tasting at one of our craft beverage spots.
