Cocke County, Tennessee is one of the three contiguous Tennessee counties of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Four state and national forests (GSMNP, Cherokee National Forest, Appalachian Trail and Martha Sundquist Forest) and three rivers ( Pigeon, Nolichucky and French Broad) offer an abundance of natural activities. Cocke County is home to 11 rafting companies that offer Class III and IV rapids.
