Four Seasons Winter typically runs November-March with cold temperatures (reaching below freezing) and snowfall great for downhill skiing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and more. Spring - typically April-May with moderate temperatures (mid 50's to upper 60's) - great for hiking, biking, morel mushroom hunting. Summer - typically June-August with sometimes humid temperatures (reaching 70-90 degrees) - great for hiking, biking, canoeing & kayaking down the AuSable River & Manistee River, fly fishing, boating & swimming in Lake Margrethe & surrounding lakes, shopping, festivals and more. Fall - typically September-early November - moderate temperatures (55-65 degrees) with a beautiful array of autumn colors/tours, kayaking/canoeing, hiking/biking, nearly 70% state land to hunt on.
