This quaint little town is an unspoiled ranching community with historical ties to the railroad and mining industries. Kremmling boasts one stop light and is void of traffic jams and crowds. If you are wanting to get away from all the chaos to "unplug", look no further. But don't worry, we still have plenty of comforts including lodging, restaurants, an artisans community, bars, churches, shopping, gas stations, a general store, and nearby hot springs.

Kremmling is surrounded by breathtaking vistas, wildlife, and national forests. We are at the confluence of 3 rivers, the Colorado, Blue, and Muddy Creek, and we also have three spectacular reservoirs within 10 miles. There's never a shortage of year'round activities for the outdoor enthusiast.

If you do get a hankering for the city life, we're only one hour way from several world class ski resorts and two hours from Denver and the airport.

   Kremmling is near the headwaters of the famed Colorado River, making rafting, kayaking, camping, horseback riding and fishing main attractions in the summer months. The area's vast wilderness has made the town a destination for game hunters, snowmobilers, cross country skiing and outdoor enthusiasts. Despite its small size, Kremmling businesses offer guests and residents alike a wealth of goods and services.

Cultural Activities
Kremmling is a small, quaint, cowboy town that boasts it is "Untapped, Untamed." If you drive an hour in any direction, you have access to world class ski resort towns which offer a variety of cultural events.

Public transportation
Airport McElroy Airfield, Jointly owned by Grand County and the Town of Kremmling, McElroy Airfield (K20V) is located on the east end of Kremmling, and services single-, multi-, and jet-engine aircrafts. Denver International Airport is a 92 mile drive and there are also mountain shuttles available year round.

Kremmling definitely offers the full spectrum of 4 seasons and the weather can change rather quickly here. There are many crisp, sunny, "bluebird" days through out the winter season. The temperatures can be quite cold so bundle up. The summer days are in the 70's - 80's during the day with temperatures dropping at night. The Spring and Fall days can be a mixed bag of sun, rain, clouds, wind, and perfectly gorgeous days. The days are typically nice, with temperatures dropping at night.
