Ottawa County, Oklahoma is in the far northeast corner of the state. The region is considered "green country" with beautiful scenery and agriculture. Miami is the hub of the region, and the famous Rt. 66 also serves as Miami's Main Street. The historic downtown district is home to quaint shops, restaurants and the Coleman Theatre Beautiful.
Nearby Grand Lake offers swimming recreation and fishing. Miami is home to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO). NEO is a two year school which is part of the OSU/A&M Board of Regents. It has a rich history in athletics, agriculture and scholastic achievement.
Ottawa County is home to nine (9) Native American Tribes. Tribal history and pride run deep in our area, and Tribal enterprises including 13 area casinos, are the largest area employers. Ottawa County offers a quieter and affordable lifestyle that is conveniently adjacent to larger cities and urban areas.

If the weather in the spring is too cold for the outdoors, enjoy some indoor activities in Northeast such as a movie, a visit to a museum, dining, nightlife or some shopping.
