The most southern of the New England states, Norwich is easily accessible from both New York and Boston and offers a charming New England feel with a cosmopolitan style. From rafting down the Farmington River and kayaking through the Thimble Islands to following the Connecticut Wine Trail and enjoying coastal cuisine, Norwich Connecticut provides endless options for unforgettable holidays.
The distance to the Norwich CT coast is 15 miles. New London and Groton are very close by on the Thames river and Block Island sound. It is near all the cultural and recreational opportunities in eastern CT and nearby Rhode Island, including wineries, antique shops, and is the starting place for scenic route 169. Overall a very nice New England town on the rise, with much in the way of arts, entertainment, restaurants with close proximity to Mystic Sea Life Aquarium/Seaport and the golden beaches of southeastern CT and Rhode Island.
