Area Description

South Whidbey island is just 35 miles north of Seattle. Access to the south end of the island is primarily by ferry, a beautiful way to cross Puget Sound.

Naval Air Station Whidbey is at the north end of Whidbey Island. Access to the north end of the island is via the Deception Pass Bridge.

We are a year round vacation spot, and are an easy drive from both Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.

Includes Cities/Towns: Clinton, Freeland, Langley.

Birding, Marine and Wildlife Watching: There are ample opportunities to see a variety of wildlife everyday on Whidbey Island, with dramatically beautiful scenic views along the way. Enjoy a game of golf, or some incredible fishing.

Culture abounds, visit our many art studios, eclectic art galleries and gift shops.

Public transportation


The Washington State Ferry system is the largest vehicle carrying ferry system in the U.S. We enjoy ferry boats 7 days a week, sailing on each half hour until late evening when the sailings are every hour. There is also the Deception Pass Bridge at the north end of the island for those who prefer a scenic drive.
