Area Description
View in Google Maps
Laurel County is located about halfway between Lexington, Kentucky and Knoxville, Tennessee at the junction of Interstate I-75 and the Cumberland Falls Highway and Hal Rogers Parkway (formerly Daniel Boone Parkway). This is a unique and beautiful area with a rich history.
Today, London's strategic location and the relatively low cost of living are major contributors to the fact that Laurel County is one of the fastest growing counties in Kentucky.
In addition to being a transportation, governmental, medical, shopping, services and tourism center, we have a growing complex of solid employers. Our educational resources; from elementary to college level are exemplary. The area has a strong and rich history of tradition, church and family centered living.
Moderately priced housing and some of the nation’s lowest utility costs, along with a moderate climate and close proximity to huge forests, beautiful lakes, tourist attractions and the metropolitan areas of Lexington and Knoxville all combine to make this a very special area for visitors, new residents and business opportunities.
