With a population of approximately 106,000 based on 2014 statistics Temecula is centrally located between Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. It is adjacent to the northern boundary of San Diego County and eastern boundary of Orange County, and is just 25 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The Temecula Valley has ideal weather conditions, with clear skies, relatively no smog and cool breezes all caused by the divide in the Santa Margarita Mountain Range called the Rainbow Gap. These breezes allow the cool air from the Pacific Ocean to move through the Temecula Valley on its way to the high pressure zone in the Palm Springs desert.
