Couples can stroll through the downtown while browsing a number of boutique specialty shops and enjoy an evening at the newly renovated Capitol Theater. Public transportation
The Southeast Iowa Region BUS provided transportation is a prior 10 minute call to: Fort Madison, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, Columbus Junction, Grandview, Wapello, Morning Sun, Mediapolis.

The medical shuttle travels to Iowa City hospitals (University, Mercy, Veterans, etc.) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week, excluding holidays. Our buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and are driven by experienced and helpful employees. The medical shuttle can also provide a safe, comfortable, economical way to shop the malls in Iowa City. Arrangements must be made with the SEIBUS scheduler at 1-866-753-5107 no later than 2:00 pm the day prior to departure.

Medical Facilities


Great River Medical Center is a 378-bed regional medical center offering acute and intermediate care to residents of southeast Iowa, west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri. The hospital offers comprehensive medical and extensive surgical services. Great River Medical Center annually admits more than 6,500 patients and logs more than 190,000 outpatient visits.

The hospital’s new 160-bed Klein Center offers long-term and skilled care on the hospital’s campus. The Cancer Center, which provides medical and radiation therapy services for the treatment of various forms of cancer and blood diseases, offers the latest three-dimensional treatment-planning computer technology available in only a few health-care centers in the state. The new Wellness Plaza is home to one of the state’s premier rehabilitation and fitness programs.

More than 120 physicians and 1,900 employees share Great River Health Systems’ commitment to excellence in patient care and community service.
