Lake Havasu area, Arizona - Lake Havasu City is an oasis in the Mohave Desert and the American home of the London Bridge. The lake itself was formed by the construction of Parker Dam in the mid-1930's. The city was founded by Robert McCulloch who bought the London Bridge from the City of London, shipped it across the ocean block by block and reconstructed the antique, giving Lake Havasu City a lifetime brand. |
